Humblestuff Cleaning Products Review

humblestuff – Handmade, natural cleaning products

From the humblestuff website –

Handmade. Fresh. No harsh chemicals. Cruelty Free. Sustainable.

We are humblestuff Handmade Cleaning products, based in Glasgow. We are the only producers of handmade cleaning products in the UK.

Using tried & tested simple ingredients including bicarbonate of soda & Castile soap, our products are honest and ethical and humble.

We have been selling our products at a variety of craft and artisan fairs, since launching, and have found this to be a great way to meet people and find out what is important to them. For some it is the fact that we make each product fresh and recommend a use by date. For others it is the fact that we do not add any harsh chemical preservatives or artificial fragrances to our products. As the UK’s first producer of handmade cleaning products, we aim to be open and honest in every aspect of our business, and that begins with a simple thing such as listing all ingredients used in each product.

Humblestuff Review, by The Gourmet Vegan

I know this will sound odd to many but I actually enjoy cleaning. Yes, you heard me right! Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying I’d be upset if my lifestyle changed and I needed to bring in a cleaner; that would be wonderful. But when I do clean, I get pleasure out of seeing the results of my hard labour. What also makes cleaning pleasurable for me, is when I can use products that make light work of the job at hand and leave the kitchen, bathroom, whatever room it be, looking refreshed and smelling divine.

So when my two new cleaning products arrived from humblestuff, I wasted no time tearing open the box and heading for the bathroom. And that’s not an exaggeration either. I think the products went from postman to bathroom within 5-10 minutes.

First up was the Multi Surface Spray (Lemon Myrtle) and credit where credit is due, this is an amazing cleaning product. First, it smells incredible, to a point that the scent literally invigorates happiness. It’s the thing that immediately hits you, a knowing that this is a natural product with no artificial fragrances. The fragrance comes from the use of 100% pure essential oils and you can tell. Unlike some household cleaners that can start to cause headiness whilst being used, this product just continued to fill the bathroom with the most delightful aroma which felt clean and inviting. In use, this is a product that also delivers in a big way. There was nothing that the spray was unable to tackle. I shot 4-5 sprays over the bathroom sink, and after a quick wipe round with a clean j-cloth, the sink was shining. Taps were gleaming and soap marks were removed with ease. I used this to clean the bath and toilet unit too, and again, the results were wonderful. You will be surprised how little of the product you need to see results and so it is very economical too.

Next up was the Soft Cleaning Paste (Blood Orange) and I made up the paste as suggested with 500ml of water and used this to wipe over the bathroom tiles, doors, vanity units and for cleaning the floor. In fact, if it had not yet had a wipe over, it soon got one. I always give a wiping over of my bathroom products to keep them looking fresh, such as plastic shampoo and bath gel bottles. As I said, if it’s there, it gets a wipe over. With the solution that was left over, I poured this into the toilet bowl, got to work with the toilet brush and my loo was worthy of any royal visit. This is yet another incredible product that really does goes to show that when it comes to cleaning products that harsh chemicals, additives and preservatives are not the way forward. Again, the fragrance was incredible and when this became paired with the fragrance of the Spray I had been using earlier, far from smelling like a cheap perfume, it seemed as if I had walked into a luxury spa.

In summary, this is a fantastic product and get a 100% thumbs up from me. Although in this review I have used my bathroom cleaning experience to show off the products, I now use this all over the house, and as stated on the website, it’s great for cleaning appliances such as the oven, microwave and fridge. Don’t waste another minute! Get on the website and start enjoying your cleaning once more.
